Cold heading process
(1) According to the theory of metal plasticity, a certain pressure is applied to the metal billet at room temperature to cause plastic deformation in the mold cavity, and it is formed according to the specified shape and size.
(2) It is necessary to choose high-quality metal materials with good plasticity, such as rivet steel, whose chemical composition and mechanical properties have strict standards.
(3) There are multiple models and series of cold heading bolt and nut forming machinery available. The equipment has reliable performance, high efficiency, and stable product quality.
(4) The product has a large forging force during molding, and the configuration power is high. The equipment requires a large initial investment. Therefore, producing specifications below M24 is the most economical.
(5) Has good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Due to the presence of cold work hardening during the forging process, the amount of deformation should not be too large. Reduce cracking.
(6) The cold heading process is suitable for products with large quantities and various specifications, in order to reduce costs. Modern cold heading machines have increased from simple two station machines to multi station machines. Currently, there are newer varieties of cold heading machines in China, including 5-mode, 6-module, and 6-module extended cold heading machines
Safety operating procedures for cold heading machine
2. Before driving, it is necessary to carefully check whether all fasteners of the equipment are locked and whether the safety protection devices are intact. Regular inspections should be carried out during work to prevent loosening due to severe vibration and accidents. 1. It is prohibited to operate the cold heading machine while wearing gloves.
After adjusting the equipment, first turn the flywheel to check if all mechanisms are working properly. After removing the lever used for turning the car, start the motor. It is strictly prohibited to start the motor while turning the car.
4. Before driving, all faults should be eliminated and a short time rotation should be performed before starting the forging test.
During the operation of the equipment, operators should stand in a safe position and are strictly prohibited from picking up workpieces at the concave convex mold. They can only view the product at the bottom.
When replacing the product, it is necessary to carefully adjust the mold and punch, and carefully inspect whether each component is normal.
7. In the production process, if a malfunction occurs, it must be stopped immediately, the cause must be identified, and hidden dangers must be eliminated. Do not drive when the brakes fail.
8. The safety board (safety pole) must be equipped with protective devices to prevent accidents caused by breakage. All protective devices must not be dismantled or lost at will.

7. Equipped with a variable frequency speed regulation device, it can achieve infinite speed regulation within a certain range.
8. Equipped with fault detectors and safety protection devices, the equipment will automatically shut down in case of failure, providing maximum protection for the equipment and molds.
9. Install a thrust device on the feeding box to improve feeding accuracy.
